Personal Training Vs. The Gym

Hospital and Gyms. What if any do these places have in common? Think long and hard...... If you answered tools than you are correct, these places uses specific and specialized tools to do a given task. So why would you need a personal trainer if you have a gym? The same reason you need doctors in a hospital. If you were to make a trip into a hospital and tell them you need medical help if they said here is a set of doctors tools figure it out, would you pay that hospital for there services? As far fetched and odd as that sounds if you pay a gym just for a gym membership then you are indeed in this category. At the gym there are all sorts of treadmills, bikes, machines, weights, and tons of other fitness related items, but unless you are certified and taught what to do with these various items how to do it and why you are doing it then you are in the gym with a loss cause. Take note you  will never find a hospital where there are no doctors or an y medical professionals on staff to help you. Just like you shouldn't find a gym with no Personal Training staff to help you. So this is where the problem comes in if you purchase a gym membership should it not come with personal trainer for no additional charge? Or better yet take this into consideration a gym membership can range anywhere from $20-$60 per month. It doesn't matter what results you get it doesn't even matter if you come to the gym you are charged. Now why do you think gyms charge more than what there gym membership is worth on average $40 per session for personal training? The answer is very simple you will most likely get minimum results without one. Medical professionals operate with out hospitals, think about paramedics they can help you without a hospital. However when you visit the hospital a doctor is waiting to help. So in conclusion do not be another lost cause at a gym (hospital) with no Trainer or (doctor). At Laws Of The Body there are and never will be gym membership fees because Your trainer is the operator of the tools and without the trainer the tools are brainless and use less.

To Whom it May Concern,

My name is Doug. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about my experiences at Laws Of The Body and with my trainer Lawrence. I have been at Retro for almost a year and with Lawrence for about three months. This is not my first experience with a gym. I have been a runner almost my entire life. I have run in both high school, college (including Penn relays, Drake relays, and Millrose Games) and have race on several USA Track and Field sponsored events as an individual and on a team. I have also coached athletes/teams that have won county championships and various state titles. You can say I have some idea of what quality training is all about.

Seven years ago I was in a car accident and hurt my back ending my running career. I had used every training method I have learned to try and create and maintain a fitness program for myself Each time my back injury reoccurred and I would be sidelined for a month or two to rehab. So I took a shot at the trainers at Laws Of The Body. Thankfully I am not a person that judges a person on first impression. Lawrence is rather young and to say I had great skepticism at first would be an understatement. I told him about my back problems, in addition to the various training methods I have utilized. Lawrence listened and developed a game plan. I train with Lawrence three days a week. Each day he creates a unique mix of exercises that target complementary muscle groups. He explains, in detail, how to perform each movement, while constantly stressing proper form. He discusses what muscles groups we are working on and the benefit the exercise is providing. While exercising, he provides positive motivation and offers verbal cues to maintain proper form. I think Lawrence and I have had close to 40 training sessions so far. I can honestly say I do not recall going through the same routine twice. To Lawrence's credit, my back has been pain free for the longest period of time. I have not missed a workout due to injury. This tells me that his program is working. I could not ask for any more. I know I am stronger and I am more physically fit. Most importantly, however, I can now make

exercise a daily part of my Life: The daily improvement in energy has positive impacts on my family and my work. The other benefit I have noticed is an improvement in my sleep. I wake up completely refreshed each day with a more focused and positive attitude. I would strongly recommend Lawrence as a trainer to anyone that would ask.

To whom it may concern:

I am writing this letter of recommendation for Mr. Lawrence West. I was fortunate enough to have Lawrence as a trainer. He is extremely knowledgeable and very  much of a gentleman. Lawrence took the time out to really understand my goals. He consulted with my physician and developed appropriate exercises and developed a routine which suited my individual needs. Within a few short weeks, I noticed significant improvements in areas which benefited me greatly. Lawrence would not only demonstrate the exercises but also explained the muscles that would benefit from the exercise. He cares about each and every one of his clients and took a personal interest in their well being. Lawrence patiently answered all of my questions.

Lawrence is a young man of strong character yet gentle of nature. He is patient, understands and is a good listener. Lawrence is creative in his approach to the exercises and is very flexible. I looked forward to exercising and reaping its benefits because I knew each session would be challenging and contain different routines, therefore I was never bored.

I felt very comfortable exercising because of Lawrence West. Never was I made to feel embarrassed. Lawrence used humor and psychology to help me reach my goal. Besides being knowledgeable, Lawrence was always patient, kind, and understanding. He made this a very pleasant experience for me.

As an educator and guidance counselor for 29 years, I feel extremely qualified to evaluate people. Lawrence West is off exemplary character. He will continue  to be successful in personal training. I highly recommend him to any persons seeking to reach their fitness goals.

Sincerely,

Diane
